A Monster Calls is a tricky book to talk about. I would call it a modern fairy tale, but don’t go into it hoping for a “and they loved happily ever after”. It is an amazing and beautiful book, both appearance and content wise, and every human should read it. It’s a story of a boy named Conor, who’s mom is dying of Cancer.
